The Sims Online - you've heard about it, but what is this game really about?  Just like most people, you've most likely at least played the regular sims or maybe even sims2 before.  The Sims Online is nearly the same as the regular sims but the game is played in a multiplayer environment.  For those that have played TSO before, they know how addictive it can be!

A little more about TSO - The first time you log into the game, you need to create your sim.  After you've created your own look, you need to decide in which city you would like to play: Alphaville, Blazing Falls, Calvins Creek, Dans Grove, Dragons Dove, East Jerome, Fancey Fields, Interhogan, Jolly Pines, Mount Fuji, or Testcenter.  Once you've selected your city, a map of this city is shown to you. At this time you can decide to visit properties of other sims or you can create your own property.  By simply clicking on a property, you will be transported to that property where you can actually chat with other real sims.  Since you never really know who you are talking to and since many sims online players like to share pictures and other personal information, we decided it was time for a dedicate Sims Online profiles site where you can meet the real sims players online.

Building your own property - To build a house in TSO, you'll need a lot of simoleans.  When you first enter the game, you'll get 10,000 simoleans.  Since this is clearly not enough to build a nice house, many people become roomies at other properties. To become a roomie, you simply go to the property owner and you ask them if you can become a roomie.  TSO Profiles can help you find properties that are looking for roomies.  Nevertheless, sooner or later you'll probably want to create your own property.  The more simoleans you have, the nicer things you can buy for your property. Objects can cost up to 50,000 simoleans, so needless to say that you'll have to play the game for a while before you'll be able to buy those objects.

How to make simoleans - As explained before, simoleans are the currency in The Sims Online and many simoleans are needed to build nice houses.  There are several ways to make simoleans in TSO, but many more to spend it. To make simoleans, you need to play on money objects.  The payout on these money objects varies.  Depending on the money object you are using, different skills are needed.  The higher your skills, the higher the payout will be on most money objects.  For some money objects, the number of players doing the same thing, increases the payout as well (the gnome table is a very good example).  Some money objects can be played by yourself, but if you really want to maximize the amount of simoleans you make in an hour, then you'll have to use objects that are controlled by multiple sims.  Maze tables, Pizza tables, CBU (code unit), and Band are the real money makers.  Maze can be played with 2 players, CBU with 3 and Pizza/Band need 4 players.  Since the payout of these objects really depend on the skill levels, you'll need to find the right partners with the highest possible skills.  TSO Profiles can help you find sims that have the right skill for you.  You'll need to use our advanced search feature to do so.  How many simoleans can you really make in between green?  Band and Pizza will probably give you the highest payout IF and ONLY IF you're playing with very experienced and high skilled players.  If you play all 25 notes in Band for instance, each sim can make up to 10,000 simoleans in between greens.  However, if you mess up one time, you'll get nothing.  That is probably the reason why most players prefer to play Pizza or Maze since the payout is high and even if you mess up from time to time, you can still make a lot of simoleans.

How to skill your sims - To make the maximum amount of simoleans, you need to skill your sim in certain categories.  The needed skills depend on which money object you're going to use to make simoleans.  If you plan on using the maze table to make simoleans, then you probably want to maximize your Charisma or Logic skills.  You can also lock certain skills to make sure that they don't drop down.  Only lock those skills you plan on using to make simoleans.  To improve certain skills, you can read a book, play chess, use a mirror, bench press and so on.

Greening up in The Sims Online - To keep your sim alive, you need to green up your sim at least once every 50 minutes.  What do we mean by that?  You sim has certain needs like social, energy, comfort, bladder, hygiene, and fun.  When you first enter TSO, your needs will all be fulfilled = green.  After you've played The Sims Online for a while, your needs will start to drop meaning, you'll have to green up these needs to keep your sim happy.  If your needs drop to low, then you won't be able to use any money objects any more and if they keep dropping, then your sim will die.  Don't worry, you can always revive your sim!  You can green your sim as needed or green all needs at once.  Most experienced players only green their sims once every 50 minutes.  They do this so they can focus on certain money objects without interruption.  Some players prefer to green up early since your skills will drop faster if you wait until the last minute to green up.

Sims Online Profiles - As you can see, TSO Profiles can help you in your quest to find new friends or to meet existing Sims Online friends in the real world.  We show pictures and information of your fellow sim players with details on their sims and their properties.  We make the game a little more real!  Our very advanced search features will help the hard core sim players to find perfect roomies and perfect partners for multi-player game objects (to find sims that are maxed out in certain needed skills).  Listing your property on our site, can also help you in becoming the number 1 house in your city because more people will be able to read about your property.  And the great thing?  All this is FREE - so why not sign up today?!
